Who is the Data Controller responsible for your personal data?
“EDM GESTIÓN, S.A.U., SOCIEDAD GESTORA DE INSTITUCIONES DE INVERSIÓN COLECTIVA” (hereinafter, “EDM”), with its registered office in Madrid, Paseo de la Castellana nº 78, 28046, and an office in Barcelona, Avenida Diagonal nº 399, 08008. For what purposes, and on what legal basis, will EDM process your personal data?
At EDM, we will process your personal data to respond to any request or enquiry you submit through our website or to any member of our team. Likewise, we will use your data to invite you to our seminars, to send you our Newsletter periodically, and to provide you with information related to the financial and investment sector.
These processing activities will be carried out by EDM only if you have previously granted us your authorisation. Your consent is the legal basis that legitimises such processing.
In this regard, EDM will only process the personal data you have provided: your full name and email address.
Contact persons of legal entities
If you provide us with your data while acting on behalf of—or as a contact person for—a legal entity (for example, a company, a foundation, etc.), EDM will process your personal data solely for the purpose of maintaining the relevant communications with said legal entity.
For how long will EDM retain and process your personal data?
EDM will process your personal data for as long as you do not withdraw your authorisation.
Naturally, if you withdraw your authorisation (which you may do at any time), this will not in any way affect your potential relationship with EDM, nor any actions taken up to that point. In such a case, EDM will simply stop sending you any promotional communications.
Afterwards, EDM will continue to retain your personal data, but duly blocked, in order to respond to potential claims and for the legally established limitation periods, and made available to Public Administrations and authorities that may request them.
To whom might EDM disclose your data?
As a general rule, unless legally required, EDM will not share or disclose your personal data to any third party.
However, EDM collaborates with third-party service providers that may have access to your personal data (for example, companies managing EDM’s IT systems). They will process your data strictly in accordance with our instructions and solely for the purpose of providing the contracted services.
What are your rights?
Current regulations recognise your rights of access, portability, rectification, objection, erasure, or restriction of processing, as well as the right not to be subject to fully automated decisions. These rights may be exercised by sending an email to dpo@edm.es or by postal mail addressed to the Barcelona office (Avenida Diagonal nº 399, 08008) or the Madrid office (Paseo de la Castellana nº 78, 28046).
You are also informed that no commercial profiling will be carried out with your data, nor will any automated decision-making take place.
Finally, you may lodge a complaint with EDM and/or with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, particularly when you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights, either by writing to the above address or through its website: www.aepd.es.
